Information to SHINE!

Hello beautiful friends! Our family is heading back to WVA to spend Thanksgiving off the grid to make some memories. Before I go, I wanted to make sure you had some important information about SHINE! Please print this out, and share with those you have invited to join us ~ co-workers, friends, family are all welcome to come! I wish for you a grateful heart, loving spirit, lots of laughs, and some restorative time to unwind over this holiday. Hugs!!



CONNECT 5:00-6:45 pm

  • Welcome & Registration table – check in here to receive your event program, name tag, bid number and your first “Charity chance ticket” 🙂
  • Silent Charity Auction Opens – bidding begins at 5 pm and ends promptly at 6:45 pm so bid sheets can be gathered, items prepared, and winning bid numbers displayed for easy-breezy check-out beginning at 8 pm. And, most importantly, so we are best able to offer our courageous speakers the gift of our undivided attention.
  • Cash Bar – (beer & wine) Main Bar – (mixed drinks/cocktails) Refreshment table –Infused Ice Water, Sweet and Unsweet Iced Tea, Regular and Decaf coffee.
  • Food Stations – Nourishing, dinner-worthy Hors d’Oeuvres, Veggie station, Cheese board and Fresh fruit display, and very special treats hand-made for us by our talented dessert sponsors Lois and Don Crawford of Recipe Idea Shop! (who will also have their new book “Secrets of the Softer Side of Selling” available for signing!)
  • Event Sponsors – Our amazing event sponsors will be featured in a slide show as well as in the center of large round tables throughout the room. Be sure to note and appreciate the huge variety of unique gifts, skills, products, and talents we represent collectively!
  • Festive Swag bags full of sponsor giveaways & goodies are guaranteed to the first 125 women who arrive to Shine. BONUS: they are conveniently large this year, to help you carry your winning auction items home. (you’re welcome!)
  • Heart-Centered Networking – We are so much more than what we DO! Instead of having to “man” vendor tables, we get to enjoy more informal conversations that naturally foster meaningful personal and professional connections. If networking events usually leave you drained and exhausted, you’ll welcome a chance to simply BE who you are and soak up the energy of relaxed positivity.   • Charity display table – Won’t it be wonderful to see all the causes we each support and get a collective idea of how ONE group of women can change the world!?!! Here is your task: Can YOU bring information on YOUR charity of choice? Pamphlets, marketing materials, etc.? If you do, YOUR CHARITY may be the one drawn to receive a donation this year!!!
  • Creativity stations will foster conversation, laughter, and connection through interactive activities ~ a festive photo backdrop with props and accessories, a table with Zen coloring books, markers, pencils, temporary tatoos, and a patriotic puzzle donated by our very own Helyn Stowe and her K9s for Warriors service dog Astro.
  • Synergy Table – Find Info, details and dates for the 2018 Resilience Coaching Programs, Synergy Success Circles, and SOAR: Scholarship applications available!

(The Lucky Winner, who must be present, chooses a registered Charity to receive 1/2 of the Silent Auction proceeds!)

“Heads or Tails” Fundraising Game 

(The Lucky Winner chooses the Charity to receive 1/2 of the “Heads or Tails” bracelet sales, AND takes home $250.00 Amazon Gift Card!) Here’s how the “Heads or Tails” game works:
Game bracelets can be purchased for $10. At 7:45 pm, Katherine Harrison will ask all Heads or Tails players to stand up. Then participants select either “heads” or “tails” by putting their hands on their heads—or their tails! She will flip a coin and announce whether the coin came up heads or tails. Those participants whose choice matches the coin flip get to stay standing—everyone else sits down.

She continues asking participants to select “heads” or “tails,” then flipping the coin, eliminating more players until only one player is left standing. This game winner will pick the charity to receive 1/2 of the bracelet sales AND will take home a $250.00 Amazon Gift card donated by our Gold event sponsor Sallye Trobaugh. (Will this be you???)
